Open House
Each year we hold an Open House and several scheduled tours of the school. All parents who are interested in finding out more about The Mabin School are welcome. Please note that our Open House is recommended for parents only, as many young children find it difficult to sit through the entire presentation. Your child will have an opportunity to see the school at the time of your interview. Our next Open House is scheduled for the following date:
Tuesday, November 4, 2008, from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
No advance registration is required for this evening. Our Principal and members of the staff will give a presentation focusing on the philosophy, curriculum and daily life at The Mabin School. You will have an opportunity to ask questions, sign up for a personal interview, tour the school informally and meet the staff.
Tours
Weekday school tours, including an information session, are also offered throughout the year. Tours begin at 9:00 a.m. and generally last one and a half hours. Again, these tours are recommended for adults only. Our tour dates during the 2007/08 school year are:

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

Interviews
Our intake grades are Junior and Senior Kindergarten. Openings also occur in the upper grades when students leave. Interviews for September 2008 will be conducted in January. Interviews include both the parents and the child and take 30 minutes, along with a student-led tour of the school, with the whole process taking approximately one hour. Interviews take place on weekdays beginning at 8:30 a.m., with the last appointment at 2:00 p.m., excluding the noon hour.
For both of these occasions, parking is available on side streets (see Map).
Applying
If you wish your child to be considered, please submit your application form as soon as possible. Completed application forms should be returned by fax at (416) 964-3643 or mailed to Mabin School Admissions, 50 Poplar Plains Road, Toronto, Ontario, M4V 2M8. An application fee of $125.00 is required for the interview. This can be paid by VISA (instructions are included on our application form) or by a cheque made payable to The Mabin School sent with your completed application form to the address listed above.
The Tuition Fee is set each year by The Board of Directors. The fee for the 2007/2008 academic year is $18,270. There is also a non-refundable Initial Registration Fee of $2,500 per student due upon acceptance, $1000 of which goes directly into our capital reserve fund.
