Our
eight qualified classroom teachers (JK to Grade 6) are supported by
expert resource teachers and specialist instructors in Art, Music,
French, Computers, Science and Physical Education. Professional, inventive
and fun, Mabin teachers are committed to making a real difference
in children’s lives. A low faculty turnover ensures a balance
of experienced tenured professionals and young enthusiastic teachers
to give students a full range of teaching talent. We are committed
to maintaining the high teaching standards for which our school is
recognized by supporting ongoing professional development opportunities.
Our teachers are often assisted by student teachers and teaching interns
from accredited educational programs.
A low pupil-faculty ratio and small
class sizes mean our teachers really know and understand your child.
Our pupil-faculty ratio is approximately 6:1. There is one homeroom
teacher per class. In addition, we have the following teachers:
- full time assistants for Junior and Senior Kindergarten
- three Resource Teachers
- two Art Teachers
- French Teacher
- Music Teacher
- Physical Education Teacher
- Computer and Science Teacher
- Librarian
- Principal
The Mabin Library Information Centre is staffed by our librarian and contains a fully catalogued and well rounded selection of books for all grades.
Primary grades learn to use the library during weekly visits; junior grades use the library to practice their information skills and to extend their individual reading interests in a quiet, resource-filled space. More about our school Library here.
The Mabin Annual Fund was created to ensure our students
receive the best education possible. Sustained by the generous contributions
of Mabin families, the annual giving fund assures ongoing support
for our facility and the continuing purchase of educational enrichment
programs for students and teachers.
